Chia puding

Chia sjemenke su koristili i ratnici Asteka i Maja za podizanje razine energije i izdržljivosti. Tri kašike chia sjemenki sadrže čak 12 grama vlakana i veliku količinu proteina, a chia puding je izuzetno jednostavan za pripremu.

 

Zeleni smoothie

Tajna zelenog smoothieja je veliki udio zelenog povrća koje je odličan izvor antioksidansa, fitonutrijenata, klorofila, magnezija i kalija.

Is there a better flavour combo than mint and chocolate? ⠀ ⠀ I whipped up this smoothie to combat my mint chip ice cream cravings and added in real mint leaves (over extract) to boost it with a little extra tummy soothing goodness. The addition of spinach, chlorophyll extract, and cacao nibs means this smoothie is packing a nutritional punch. ⠀ ⠀ The chlorophyll, mint, and magnesium from the cacao make this a great smoothie for PMS symptoms(or just any day you want a minty milkshake-y protein shake!)⠀ ⠀ I’m off to hang on the beach and enjoy a day off thanks to Canada Day long weekend. What are you up to this Monday?⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Mint chip smoothie⠀ ⠀ • 2 handfuls spinach⠀ • 1 dose chlorophyll ⠀ • 1 cup dairy free mylk⠀ • 1 cup ice cubes⠀ • 1/4 banana⠀ • 1 date chopped⠀ • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder ⠀ (I use @bodyenergyclub clean vegan)⠀ • about 10 fresh mint leaves (or 1 drop peppermint extract)⠀ • 1 tbsp nut butter ⠀ • 1 tbsp cacao nibs⠀ ⠀ Blend all ingredients except cacao nibs (add them in at the very end and lightly blend so they don’t get pulverized)⠀ ⠀ Top with some shaved dark chocolate (totally optional … but is it really “optional”?)⠀ ⠀ Enjoy! 🌱⠀

Bogate željezom, svježe smokve su kao stvorene za borbu protiv umora!

The figs around the farm are crushing it this year! This variety is “White Kadota” and its a new variety for us. This fig was so ripe it was starting to split as the sap and sugars were erupting from its skin. Fresh tree ripened figs are delightfully rich and sweet with the flavors of honey, berries and jam. If you’ve never had a fresh fig you are missing out! Figs can be challenging to grow in Florida with our root knot nematode problem. We combat them with large amounts of organic matter, regularly irrigating or planting them in the pot with the bottom only being removed. They can also be grown in a container long term. There is some awesome trials being done with a nematode root stock by my friends @floridafruitgeek & @josh_jamison_plants. This is really exciting and if successful it could make figs a commercial crop here in Florida.
